Sending our own samples

@AnabolicLab would it be possible to structure a program that's done through Simec or Chemtox where us users can send in our own sample, somehow linking it with AL?

For example, say I wanted to send in a UGL's tren. ace. I wouldn't know of Simec or Chemtox if it wasn't for AL.... So, I believe AL should receive credit for my business. Overtime, it might make sense for these labs to offer free testing to you since you've provided so much potential business for them.

Another option would be for those labs to offer a discounted rate to AL members?

I would add that while the results could be posted in a testing thread that maybe there could also be a database like the AL database where the results could be categorized by lab and compound for ease of comparing results. Of course it would have to be known that these are not part of the AL project because it would be possible for reps to send in samples and post results as anonymously obtained samples when in fact they are not. There is a lot of potential for labs to pose as end users so any testing not done by the AL project should be heavily scrutinized.
But I like your idea Wunder.

We will seek out both options: (1) Discounted rate for AnabolicLab members and (2) Credit for AnabolicLab referrals.

SIMEC wasn't too keen on the idea when we first started AnabolicLab. But 8 months in -- and all the referrals from AnabolicLab -- I hope SIMEC will be more receptive.

I wonder if we could use the media gallery database for this purpose. If we can encourage everyone to upload JPG scans of their own SIMEC, Chemtox, etc. lab reports to the "Analytical testing" category, this could be a way to easily search the database. This would be a very basic way to categorize the reports that can be implemented now.

Ideally, I think you would want a much more powerful database that can sort and manipulate the data using several variables or combination of variables. The most cost effective way would be to find an out-of-the-box solution. But most likely it will require some custom programming. Even so, it would be a worthwhile investment especially as the amount of data accumulates.

What does it cost for a guy to send in a sample, and what size of sample is required?

When I spoke with Simec, it was around $300USD/ sample. Tests have been performed on 1ml amps.... So that should be the "minimum" I'd assume.

@Wunderpus is correct. One milliliter is sufficient for dosage testing. However, in order for SIMEC to perform dosage + micribiological + heavy metal testing, it requires a minimum of 5-ml and preferably 10-ml for analyses.

Back when we had some US labs willing to perform mass spec testing some of us wanted to split the cost of testing products from domestic UGLs. Unfortunately, those US labs didn't last long. In fact, most of them turned out to be unqualified to do what they promised.

If AnabolicLab is only testing products that can be purchased where steroids are legal, I think it's something we could get rolling again, especially if some of us can get discounts with Simec.
